Snow Day™   Blizzard  Exochorda 'Blizzard' ppaf

 

This new pearl-bush will bow you away. It is a blizzard of blooms with flowers covering every inch of the plant.

It is a tetraploid hybrid so it has extra large flowers that are roughly twice the size of those of ‘The Bride.’  It can be pruned to keep small or trained into a small tree.

Hardiness:  USDA Zone 4

Bloom Time:  Early spring

Bloom Color:  Pure white

Foliage Color:  Bluish green

Size:  5-6 feet tall andfeet wide

Exposure:  Full sun to partial shade

Soil: Evenly moist soils.  

Pruning: Best if done immediately after bloom. Sets bud on summer prior to blooming.                       

Watering: Water during periods of drought.   

Wildlife: None  

Type: Deciduous  

Fertilizing: Fertilize in early spring by applying a slow release fertilizer specialized for trees & shrubs. Follow the label for recommended rate of application.  

Uses: Great in the back of a perennial border or when used in mass, or as a patio tree.
