An artistic new Weigela that grows only 12
to 18" tall. Colorful green, cream and
pink foliage provides season long interest, while bright pink spring blooms
providing the icing on the cake.
This
plant will change the way you think about
and use shrubs.
This beauty can be used as you would use a low mounding perennial or annual,
or use it en mass as a ground cover. The uses are endless and the color is
nonstop.
A cool new variety from master nurseryman Bert Verhoef of the Netherlands.

I just love this plant. When I bought it I did not know that the
foliage was going to turn pink, the leaves were cream and green when I
first got it. As the summer progressed the leaves have become more and
more pink. How cool it that. It looks great in my perennial garden
planted along side Lambs ears. - Erica S., PA, Zone 5
I loved it when I saw this at the greenhouse. Not sure what happened
but within 1 month of planting the leaves turned brown and it died. It
was doing well the first couple of weeks. Not sure what happened,
possibly my dog used it as a potty, so I guess my comment is, it does
not survive dog urine. Tina, OH, Zone 5
I was very disappointed with this plant last year. I planted it in
full sun and the edge of the leaves turned brown. This year is a whole
nother story. It bloomed beautifully in the spring and the foliage
stayed nice all summer long. In fact it got more colorful in the summer,
shades of pink. It was worth the wait. Karin, MN, Zone 4

how has this variety has preformed in your garden.
Hardiness: USDA Zone 4
Cultural Notes: It is normal for this plant to go dormant, and drop
its leaves earlier than other weigela. While this attribute may
initially cause some concern, it is not detrimental to the health of the
plant, in fact, this cessation of growth results in a higher level of
hardiness compared to other weigela which continue to grow until frost -
as late season growth is subject to winter dieback.

Great little shrub for the front of the perennial garden. Use as you
would Silvermound or purple-leafed Heuchera. Or use it instead of
annuals in your mixed shrub border. Use in mass to to great drifts
of texture and color. Have fun!

dwarf masterpiece is a sport of Weigela florida ‘Tango’. Its tight habit
and colorful foliage makes it very versatile. Possible applications
include an artistic drift along the edge of an annual or perennial bed
or an accent piece in an impressionist container. My Monet™
creates poetic beauty in any landscape and adds a splash of color to
semi shady areas.
