 Happy Face   Potentilla fruticosa 'Lundy'  ppaf, cbraf'  

 

The flowers are so big and bright it stands out all others. It produces an abundance of big yellow flowers from spring until late summer. Its dense habit and dark, healthy foliage adds to its appeal.

In side by side trails with the most widely grown selections this plant shined above all others in the garden and in our container trials.

The foliage a good color also season long and has good mildew resistance.

Hardiness:  USDA Zone 2 

Bloom Time:  Late spring, repeating until frost 

Bloom Color:  Large, vibrant yellow blooms

 

 

Foliage Color:  Superb, dark green foliage remains clean through the season.  

Size:  2-3 feet tall.  Habit is very neat. 

Exposure:  Full sun is ideal. Will tolerate a bit of shade  

Soil: Average, medium moisture, well drained soils. 

Pruning: Best in late summer.                   

Watering: Medium moisture. Drought tolerant once established

Wildlife: Deer resistance

Type: Deciduous  

Fertilizing: Fertilize in early spring by applying a slow release fertilizer specialized for trees & shrubs. Follow the label for recommended rate of application.
