 Double Take®  'Pink Storm'   ppaf 

 

Big, rich pink camellia-like flowers in early spring.  Unlike other quince these plants are thornless!  These drought tolerant plants are excellent for hedging, mass planting, and flower arranging.  They generally do not produce fruit. 

Hardiness:  USDA Zone 5

Bloom Time:  Spring

Bloom Color:  Rich Pink

Foliage Color:  Rich green foliage.

Size: 4-5' with time. Easley pruned to keep smaller.

 

 

Exposure:  Full sun to partial shade is ideal for this variety. Protect from harsh winter sun and winds.

Soil: Does well in most any well drained soil, but is drought tolerant once established.

Pruning: Prune to shape and to promote branching immediately after flowering.

Watering: Medium moisture. Drought tolerant once established.

Type: deciduous

Fertilizing: Fertilize in early spring by applying a slow release fertilizer specialized for trees & shrubs. Follow the label for recommended rate of application.

Uses: Shrub borders, specimen, hedging, perennial borders, cut flowers and containers.
