Double Play  Artist  Spiraea japonica 'Galen ppaf, cbraf'

One of the main goals of the Proven Winner ColorChoice program is to extend a shrubs color interest beyond the date of flowering. The new Double Play Series does just that. In addition to vibrant flowers, these new introductions turn a double play by providing absolutely stunning foliage especially in the spring when they first break bud.

You will love this plant from the moment it flushes in the spring. The blue-green foliage emerges a rich purple red setting it apart from all other plants on the farm. The flowers are as rich, purple-pink, unlike any other Spiraea. The plant is a compact, full bodied mound.
