   China Chiffon  Hibiscus syriacus ‘Bricotts' ppaf
 

The newest addition to the Chiffon series boasts the same strong growth and large anemone flowers but they’re pure white with an attractive red eye in the center of the bloom.

Bold yet delicate China Chiffon hibiscus is a star in the garden from July through September.

This selection was breed to perform even in cooler climates. It is one of the strongest growing cultivars. Each stem is packed with numerous buds giving it superb flower power.

 

 

Hardiness:  USDA Zone 5

Bloom Time:  Late summer

Bloom Color:   Pure White with an attractive red eye

Foliage Color:  Green

Size:  8-12 feet tall, 4-5 feet wide

Exposure:  Full sun

Soil: Grows in about any soil unless it is either really wet or dry.

Pruning: In late fall or early spring. Can be heavily pruned.

Watering: Medium moisture

Wildlife: None

Type: Deciduous

Fertilizing: Fertilize in early spring by applying a slow release fertilizer specialized for trees & shrubs. Follow the label for recommended rate of application. 

Uses: Late season color, groupings or masses, perennial or shrub borders, specimen, screens or hedges.
