A special new selection with abundant glossy scarlet red fruit. 

Tons of creamy white flowers cover this well branched, rounded plant in May. 

The fruit on this plant is remarkable and abundant. The show of bright red fruit appears in late summer and is still clinging to shrub the next spring when the Cedar Waxwings come to nibble away.  Discovered by Rodney Henneke.

Fruit:  Persistent, shiny scarlet red fall berries. While most viburnums set have better fruit set with another variety planted in close proximity, this variety has show good fruit set without cross pollination.

Size:  5-6 feet tall, 3-4 feet wide

Exposure:  Full sun to partial shade

Soil: Best in moist, slightly acidic soil. Will do well in higher pH soils, but does tolerate a wide range of soil.

Pruning: Best if done immediately after flowering. Buds form summer prior to blooms.

Watering: Medium moisture. Established plants have some drought resistance.

Fertilizing: Fertilize in early spring by applying a slow release fertilizer specialized for trees & shrubs. Follow the label for recommended rate of application.

Bright red, persistent berries make for a stunning display in the fall.  Fruiting appears to be strong even without another pollinator in the area.

Tons of creamy white flowers cover the plant in spring (May in Michigan).  The plant itself has a nice, well-branched habit, and fits nicely into the landscape.
